In 1990, three energetic and creative chefs, Hans Limburg, Gary Darling, and Greg Reggio, joined together to form an experienced culinary and restaurant development team. They named this collaboration the Taste Buds. The Taste Buds created Zea in 1997 with their first location in Harahan, La. It immediately gained popularity with in the community and acclaim from the restaurant press.
Zea WoodFire Grill opened January 2006 in Plano, Texas. Zea WoodFire Grill has been voted one of the top ten new restaurants by City Search and has been featured in the Dallas Morning News, D Magazine and PegasusNews.com .
Located in The Shops at Granite Park, intersection of Dallas North Tollway and Hwy 121. South of Ikea, next to Blue Mesa.
